Peer Review Process
At SULAWESIANA JOURNAL, we adhere to a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality research. Our peer review process is designed to maintain the integrity of academic publishing and to provide constructive feedback to authors.
1. Initial Submission and Screening
-
Upon submission, the journal’s editorial team conducts an initial screening of the manuscript to ensure that it meets the journal's scope and basic formatting requirements.
-
Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to authors for revision or rejected without further review.
2. Assignment to Reviewers
-
Once the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
-
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and experience in the subject matter of the manuscript.
3. Peer Review
-
The peer review is conducted in a double-blind manner, meaning that both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process.
-
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, methodology, relevance, clarity, and scientific merit.
-
Reviewers are also asked to assess the overall contribution of the manuscript to the field and whether the conclusions are supported by the data presented.
4. Reviewer Recommendations
-
After completing their review, each reviewer submits their recommendations to the editorial team, which may include:
-
Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication without or with minor revisions.
-
Minor Revisions: The manuscript is provisionally accepted, with revisions required before final acceptance.
-
Major Revisions: The manuscript requires substantial changes before being reconsidered.
-
Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.
-
-
The editorial team reviews the feedback from both reviewers and makes the final decision.
5. Revision Process
-
If revisions are requested, the authors are asked to address the reviewers' comments and submit a revised version of the manuscript.
-
Authors are required to provide a point-by-point response to each reviewer’s comments to demonstrate how they have addressed the feedback.
-
The revised manuscript may be sent back to the same reviewers for a second round of evaluation.
6. Final Decision
-
Once the reviewers’ feedback has been addressed and the manuscript meets the necessary standards, the editorial team makes a final decision on acceptance or rejection.
-
Accepted manuscripts are then prepared for publication.
7. Publication
-
Upon acceptance, the article is formatted and published on the journal’s website as part of the upcoming issue or as an article in advance.
This peer review process ensures that all manuscripts published in SULAWESIANA JOURNAL meet high standards of quality, credibility, and scientific rigor.
